ABOUT mark
Born and raised in New Bedford, MA, Mark Piva earned a B.A. in English Literature from Providence College, an MBA from Claremont Graduate University – Drucker School of Management, and a Master of Science – Finance program at Purdue University Global.
Mark joined the Huntington Beach Host Lions in 2009. He served as 2nd Vice President, President, and Treasurer. Mark received the District 4-L4 Lion of the year award in 2017. In 2015, he was named District 4-L4 President of the Year and the Club was District Club of the Year – Div. C. He is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, a member of the HBH Lions Board, and newsletter co-editor. He was a Guiding Lion for the Orange County Champions Lions Branch Club, a club focused on helping Special Olympic athletes. In 2015, he served as Co-Chair of Food Services for the Special Olympic World Games Huntington Beach Host Town and was named Huntington Beach Chamber Member of the Year in 2009. He served as District Governor of District 4-L4 2019-2020. He served as North American Membership Initiative Champion for Multiple District 4. He is Treasurer of Lions Float, Inc. Currently he serves as Area Leader for Constitutional Area.
Mark lives in Huntington Beach, and is on the adjunct faculty for Southern New Hampshire University, Purdue University Global, and University of Arizona Global where he teaches courses in strategy and business.
